Research: In the areas of neuroscience, computational modelling and microfluidics at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and University College Dublin


  • 7 years as a teacher trainer
  • 7 years of organising international conferences and facilitating training events for early-career university staff 
  • 4 years as a company director 
  • 1 year supporting educational programme pilot sites in Germany, France, the Netherlands, Hong Kong SAR and China
  • 8 years of PhD studies and scientific research, honing evaluation and analytical skills as well as the ability to convey complex information in an easy-to-understand format. 
  • 6 years as a scout group leader, applying the principles of scouting pedagogy (group work, learning by doing, gamification, fostering responsibility and tolerance)


Best Education Outreach Award in 2017 (see www.educationawards.ie) for establishing an innovative science education and teacher training programme in Ireland (see https://amgenbiotechexperience.net/ie/).  The programme has reached more than 7000 students in 3 years.
